和文英訳をしてしまう典型的な例の一つで
貸してください、という日本語訳から
borrow なんかを使ってしまいがちな表現ですが

ちなみにお手洗い、自体をどういうかというのもなかなか間違えがちで
toiletと言ってしまったりしますが基本的にtoiletは便器そのものを指す
場合が多いので
bathroom, restroom あたりが一般的です。
女性用はpowder room お化粧室と言ったりするのは日本語でも同じですよね。
イギリス英語ではthe loo なんて言ったりします。
他にもwash room, WC（不動産屋などが使う業務的な響き）
のような言い方もあります。

Just as you use 「貸してください」in Japanese you can definitely "borrow" a bathroom in english.
We use the word "borrow" for many situations, including people.
"Could I borrow your mom for a moment please?"
- If I desire to speak to your mother for a few minutes in private.
You can also say "Sorry, Where can I find the restroom?"
- very plain and simple phrase, it gets to the point and still sounds kind and polite.
The "sorry" part is only to add to the embarrassed feeling if you feel that way but you don't have to say "sorry".

"May I" is more correct than "Can I".
"Can I" is actually asking about your physical ability to do it. "May I" is asking permission.
When you ask "Would you be able to point me to your washroom?"
It is assumed that you are asking to use it and the other person will tell you where to find the washroom.
「May I」は「Can I」より正しいです。
「Can I」はそれをするための身体的な能力について尋ねますが、「May I」は許可について尋ねます。

"Where's the toilet", by asking where it is implied that you want to use it. "I gotta go number one", this means you need to pee. An informal way of asking to go to the toilet. If you say number two it means you need to poo but you probably want to only say that to someone you know.

If you want to use the toilet, and need to ask permission, but in a kind of embarrassed way, then you have these two sentences, however, they may not be totally embarrassed.
