「往復（で）」は
there and back

both ways
などの表現があります。
例文は「１時間」としましたが、
「時間」ではなく「分」とする場合は
hour(s)をminute(s)に変えればOKです。
また、片道の場合は特に何もつける必要はなく、
It takes one hour. などと表現します。
「A（場所）までの往復で」は、to A and back で表せます。
往復で１時間かかるなら、It takes 〜（時間が〜かかる）を使って、
It takes an hour to the kindergarten and back.
（幼稚園への往復に１時間かかる。）
のようになります。
「片道」は、何もいわなければ通常片道なので、
It takes thirty minutes to go to the kindergarten .
（幼稚園に行くのに１時間かかる。）
となり、one way などと言わなくてもいいです。
あえて言うならば、
I take my child to and from the kindergarten. It takes thirty minutes each way.
（私は子供を幼稚園に送迎しますが、片道30分かかります。）
のように each way を使うことはあるでしょう。
