「今年は英語強化期間です」って英語でなんて言うの？

This is the year that I will advance my level of English. This means that this is the year that my level of English will make headway. The word "advance" means to make progress or to become better at something, to improve your ability to do that thing. This is the year that I will really make progress in my English. To make "progress" means to move forward. This sentence is saying that this year you want to have the ability to understand English ata higher level.

All three of these sentences convey that this is the year you are going o focus on and improve your English speaking ability. In the first sentence, I use the word "focus". To say you are focusing on one thing, in this case your English, is to say that is priority. This sentence says that English speaking is your priority for the year. In the next example, I use the phrase "tighten up". In this context, that phrase means that you are going to improve and even perfect your English speaking skills. Lastly, in the third sentence, I used "really going to practice". This phrase says that you are going to practice, but emphasizes it with "really going to". This word combination implies that you will be putting forth a lot of effort.

Many times in English, we use the expression "today is the day" or "this will be the year" to express to someone that we have made a serious decision to make a change in our life or lifestyle. So you can simply say, "This will be the year I improve my English". You can also simply use the term "focus" to explain to someone that you will make something your main priority and improve it in some way. "I will focus more on my English this year".

I will improve my English this year. I intend to really work on my English this year. I hope to improve my English this year. Are suitable in this situation.
