All of these words can be used in a joking way but you have to be careful of your tone because very easily they can be turned into super negative and hurt words.
If you do something stupid like forgot to pick something up from the shop "I'm such a food".
You dropped and broke something by accident "I'm such an idiot".

Well, it's not a kind thing to say directly to someone, but of course, you may joke with friends that someone is 'dim' or 'a moron'. If this person has a pleasant and friendly character, you may also use the description: "Nice, but dim." You could of course expand and say something like: "My dog's got more intelligence than he has," or something similar.

There are many words to describe someone who isn't smart, but you must of course be careful how you say them so as not to hurt anyone's feelings. Stupid, and idiot, or a fool would all be examples.
However, I think 'a wally' falls into jokey territory where noone could accuse you of being truly insulting, because the word is so silly.
