  • Excuse me, Where are the lions?

  • Where will I find the Lions?

"Excuse me, Where are the lions?" This is a polite way of getting a persons attention and asking them to tell you where you can find the lions. "Where will I find the Lions?" This is another way of asking a person to tell you where the lions are.
例文 "Excuse me, Where are the lions?" 例文 "Where will I find the Lions?"

When you ask the question: "Where do you keep the lions?", the zookeepers should understand that you'd like to know where, in the zoo, they've put the lions. An 'enclosure' is an area surrounded by a barrier. In zoos, there usually are enclosures for different animals. E.g. a deer enclosure or a lion enclosure. So, if you want to see lions, you may ask the zookeepers to show you where the lion enclosure is.
例文 "Where do you keep the lions?"

example "can you tell me where the zoo is?". or "is there a safari park anywhere near?". it is usual to see these animals in a zoo or habitat like a safari park. Sometimes you can also see lions at the circus, although this is not so common now.
例文 "Can you tell me where the zoo is?". "Is there a safari park anywhere near?".

  • Where are the lions?

  • Excuse me, where could I go to see the lions?

    play icon

The most simple way of asking this question is "where are the lions?" to which someone should reply with directions. However, the second sentence is much more polite. Saying "excuse me" is a polite way to attract someone's attention. 'Could' is a more polite way than 'can' to ask for directions.

  • Where can I see the lions?

    play icon

  • Could you please point me in the direction of the lions?

    play icon

Explanation: If you ask someone to point you in the direction you wish to go, it is slightly humorous - it is just a funny way to ask for directions. Example sentence: "Could you point me in the direction of Big Ben please?"
例文: "Could you point me in the direction of Big Ben please?"

Somewhere where animals are kept or looked after (lions) is called an 'enclosure' When asking someone something then it is polite to start with 'excuse me' to get their attention
