I'm counting down the days until... 「...までの日を指折り数えて待っている」
→当日までカウンドダウンをする位楽しみにしています、ということですね。

ここで「just をつけて強調する」のがポイントなんです。

Two of these phrases can be used instead of "looking forward". I personally prefer the second one. I think people use it more in England than in other countries.
1) (I'm excited for it!)
英語で、「look forward to it」の文より「excited for it」の文の方が強調です。
ですから、「I look forward to it」の代わりに「I'm excited for it」を使えば、他の人にワクワクしている気持ちが伝えられます
2) (I can't wait for it!)
例１のように、この例はもっとワクワクしている気持ちのニュアンスがあります。
「そんなに楽しみにしている」か「とてもワクワクしてる」の意味で、期待して待っている事です。
We use the expression, "I can't wait," or, "I'm really pumped to," to show the idea that we are looking forward to something so much that the anticipation (期待) has us very excited about it.
Similarly, we can use a more simple verb like, "I'm excited to..," to express this same level of excitement or anticipation about something.
"I can't wait"（待ちきれない）または "I'm really pumped to"（ワクワクしている）は楽しみでワクワクした気持ちを表します。

You should look forward to it, you should be happy about it.
I am looking forward to it I cant wait for it.
Looking forward to it usually means that a person is exited about something.
It can be used in different ways.
One way is Look forward to something good that will happen. Another way is physically to look forward, meaning to look straight ahead or to look right in front of you, But leave out the "to"after look forward.
Example: Peter look forward! Peter you need to look forward in life never backwards.
I am looking forward to is expressing excitement to something good that will happen.
Example: I am looking forward to meeting you. I am looking forward to my new job tomorrow.
Looking forward to it は、あることを楽しみにしているという意味です。異なる意味になることもあります。

There are many ways to express that you are looking forward to something. For example, if you are expecting to meet someone for the first time, you can say "I can't wait to meet you!" If you would really like to see someone, you can say "I can't wait to see you!." If you are anxious to see a movie, you can say "I can't wait to see the movie." This expresses your feelings that you are looking forward to something to take place. Other expressions include "It'll be great to see you!" or "It'll be great to have lunch sometime!" 1) I can’t waitは直訳すると待てないと言う意味しますが、待ち遠しい時に使います。I can’t wait to… (動詞): I can’t wait to go to the festival.（祭りに行くことを楽しみにしています） 又はI can’t wait for… (名詞): I can’t wait for summer.（夏を楽しみにしています・夏が待ち遠しいです）又、I can't wait!を返答のように使えます。例えば： 友達A "We're going to that new restaurant tomorrow, remember?"（明日、あの新しいレストランに行くよね。覚えてる？） 友達B "Yeah! I can't wait."（うん！楽しみにしてる。）
2) excitedを使えば、楽しみの気持がよく伝えます。わくわく感があると思います。I’m excited to go skating this weekend.（土日にスケートしに行くことを楽しみにしています。） Amy is really excited for the party tomorrow.（エイミーは明日のパーティーをすごく楽しみにしています。）
"I would like to..."
A simple expression, you might use this when you want to politely tell someone what you want to do.
"I'm waiting for..."
You can use this when you want to tell someone why you are waiting and what you are waiting for.
"I'm going to..."
A more direct and assertive way of saying what you're looking forward to is to say how you feel. Example (I'm going to enjoy myself.) Or (I'm going to wait for your call.)
"I would like to..."（...したい）
シンプルな表現です。自分のしたいことを丁寧に伝えたいときに使えます。
"I'm waiting for..."（...を待っている）

I can't wait for (something)' shows that the person is so excited about an event that they don't want to wait for it. This is the same sort of idea with 'I'm looking forward to...', it shows that you are not thinking so much about what is happening in the present, but are thinking about that specific exciting event. 'I'm so excited for...' also shows the same idea except it is specifically because you are excited. You could also say 'I'm so excited about...'
I can't wait for (something)' は「～が楽しみで待ちきれない」という意味です。これは 'I'm looking forward to...' と同様の考え方です。'I'm looking forward to...' は、すごく楽しみにしていることがあってそれについてばかり考えていて、今現在のことをあまり考えていないという意味合いです。
