他の先生の殆どの回答はそのままのピッタリの回答だと思います。同時に、実際はかなり強烈でストレートな内容がほとんどですので、ここでは一つ、一応参考までに失礼の無い柔らかい言い方も紹介しておきますね。
それは一つ、”not my cup of tea." 、訳すと「私の好みではない」と遠回しに言う方法。
まぁ～、少なくとも「美味しくはない」という意味では伝わるでしょう。
また、”It's not something I'm used to." と言えば、「私の慣れている味ではない」というこれもまた遠回し、間接的なニュアンスを持った表現。もちろん、言われた側は何が言いたいのかすぐ悟ってくれると思いますね。
最後は、”not my taste”、最初の例の熟語ではないストレートな表現。つまり、”私の好みではない” という言い方ですね。
美味しくないときは別にこのように遠回しで言う必要が無い場合と、やはり周りを気にしてちょっとでも柔らかく表現しておいた方が無難？と思われる時があると思います。
時と場合、状況や好みに応じて色々使い分けてみて下さい。

美味しい場合は大げさにコメントをする人が多いので、どう言うかによって"That's interesting."が不味い食事であることを示唆する場合もあります。
場面にもよりますけど、ストレートに「まずい」って言えない時ありますよね。そういう時は、上の表現を使うといいかもしれません。
interestingやfunnyは「面白い・ちょっと変わった」みたいな味の表現になります。
イコール「おいしくない」ってことです。
料理の番組でレポーターが「まずい」とは言わないで、"Hmm, this is interesting."
っていう感想を言うのはよくあるシーン。
これはちょっと、本当にありえないくらいまずい時に使う表現です。笑

This tastes bad, repulsive, cheap, などと色んなマイナスな形容詞を使い分けて言えるフレーズです。
This is pretty disgusting = これは中々ひどい
Disgustingとなると許しがたい事が伝わります。食の恨みは怖いですからね。
This doesn't taste anything like I'd expected = 全く予想外の味だ
これはいい意味でも悪い意味でもとらえられるのでどちらかはっきりと加えて伝えましょう。
I did not like the food.
This can be used but it is quite vague.
It does, however, let other people know that you did not enjoy the food.
Example:

Well, it depends if there is anything wrong with the food, or if it is just a matter of your personal preference. The first two sentences are quite extreme reactions to the food - perhaps it is rotten or under-cooked. If you simply don't enjoy this type of food, then sentence 3 is probably more appropriate.
