[喉](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/40526/)の痛み、詳細にいうと喉が[痛い](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/36238/)状態のことを
"sore throat"
と言います。そこで、のどが痛いということを人に伝える場合は、
"I have a sore throat"
と言うのが一般的です。
ただ細かいニュアンスに関して言うとsore throatでは[風邪](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/33267/)などの症状としてののどの痛みを連想させがちなので、純粋にのどの痛みを伝える場合はmy throat hurtsなどと直接的な表現を用いるといいかもしれません。

でも単に「hurts」だと、その原因がわかりません。病気のせいだと「sore」を使います。
A: My throat hurts
B: Oh, did you eat something bad?
A: My throat is sore.
B: Oh, do you have a cold?
ちなみに、「sore」は「筋肉痛」という意味も含めます。

一般的にのどが痛い、という症状を訴える時は
・I have a sore throat.
でも、すでに原因が扁桃腺だとわかっている時は 扁桃腺炎 tonsillitis を使うと
わかりやすいですね。
・I have a tonsillitis. （扁桃腺なんです）
これが病院で医師にむかって言う時は断定的な口調ではなく（診断するのは医師ですから）

・I'm afraid I have a tonsillitis.
病院に行く前から、鏡をみて扁桃が[腫れてる](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/61082/)と、わかっていたら、

（扁桃が赤く腫れているのですが）
