Do you celebrate Christmas?

Groundhog

Groundhog Dayの歴史

Happy birthday! May this year bring you lots of happiness.

Wishing you a blessed and wonderful year!

It's your birthday, so enjoy yourself!

I wish you lots of joy this wonderful time of the year.

It’s Christmas! Eat, drink, and be merry!

May you have a happy and healthy year!

Cheers to a wonderful year!

May this year be a great one for you!

Congratulations on achieving your goal! Wishing you all the best in your adventures to come.

Congrats! You’ve just begun your new journey. Enjoy the ride!

Congratulations! May your child always be blessed with good health, laughter, and lots of love.

Congratulations! If you need babysitting, I am/we are always available!

With much thanks for the hospitality during my stay. Sending my heartfelt appreciation.

I won’t forget the time we had together during my stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I won’t forget the memories we shared during my stay. I hope to return soon.

I hope you create tons of memories in your new home!

You must be excited to have the keys to your new flat! We’re ready to have a party!

If you ever feel homesick, please call me up!

The third of November is a national public holiday called Culture Day in Japan.

It is a day to love freedom and peace, and to promote Japanese culture.

It's a day to celebrate freedom and peace, and to promote Japanese culture.

It is a day to celebrate freedom and peace, and to deepen one's understanding of Japanese culture.

It is a day to celebrate freedom and peace, and to nurture Japanese culture.

Originally, the day was used to commemorate the Emperor's birthday during the Meiji Era.

It is the day when Japan's new constitution, which proclaims pacifism, was announced.

That is why Culture Day represents love, peace and culture.

People are encouraged to enjoy Japanese art and culture.

People are encouraged to participate in cultural activities.

Many museums offer free entry to everyone on this day.

Many cultural events are held as well.

Cultural festivals are held at many schools.

Guests are welcome at our school festival. Would you like to come?

The Order of Culture is awarded to those who have made cultural contributions to society.

The award ceremony takes place at the Imperial Palace, and the medals are presented by the Emperor.

The holiday is also a good opportunity to enjoy autumn leaves.

Skeletons in the closet

He’s being very careful so that no one will find out about the skeletons in his closet.

That politician has so many skeletons in her closet that I’m surprised she’s trying to run for governor.

Come back to haunt you

I’m telling you, what you’re doing right now will someday come back to haunt you if you’re not careful.

Final nail in the coffin

On top of not doing what he was told all day and making fun of his mom, he eventually pushed his sister down the stairs. That was the final nail in the coffin that got him grounded for two weeks.

Dig your own grave

Dig your own grave

Showing up late to work every day and not taking anything seriously - John’s digging his own grave, if you ask me.

Work the graveyard shift

I’m drinking all this coffee now because I’m working the graveyard shift tonight.

Ghost town

This place looks like a ghost town. Where is everyone?

Make one’s blood boil

Watching the news always makes my blood boil, so I try not to watch it every day.

Scared stiff

The little girl was scared stiff. She had never seen such a big animal before.

Like a bat out of hell

Afraid of the big dog, the cat ran out of the house like a bat out of hell.
