Hanami is a Japanese tradition of viewing cherry blossoms in spring.

We enjoy picnics under cherry blossom trees, which is called Hanami.

Hanami is a Japanese custom where people gather under cherry trees to enjoy the blossoms.

It’s common to have picnics while admiring the cherry blossoms.

Some people also enjoy nighttime Hanami, called ‘yozakura’, when the blossoms are illuminated.

SDGs（Sustainable Development Goals：

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge gender equality. Collectively for #IWD2025 we can all #AccelerateAction.

If not me, who? If not now, when?

A feminist is anyone who recognizes the equality and full humanity of women and men.

他にも Girls’ Day や Dolls’ Day、Doll Festival などと表現する例もあります。

The third of March is Hinamatsuri / Girls’ Festival / Girls’ Day / Dolls’ Day / Doll Festival.

It is a day to wish for the healthy growth and happiness of girls.

A girl's very first Hinamatsuri is an especially important celebration.

Families with little girls will display a set of traditional dolls called Hina Ningyo or Hina Dolls in their home.

Hina dolls are modeled after the emperor and empress of the Heian period.

The emperor and empress are attended by three court ladies, five musicians, and lots more people and items.

The dolls and items are placed according to the traditional order.

The dolls are thought to catch illnesses and other misfortunes on behalf of the girl.

Chirashi sushi is the signature dish of Hinamatsuri meals.

Chirashi sushi literally means “scattered” sushi.

Chirashi sushi is a bowl of sushi rice colorfully decorated with seafood, egg and vegetables.

Chirashi sushi is usually eaten with clear clam soup.

Hishi-mochi are rice cakes in pink, white and green layers that represent peach blossoms, snow, and the grass beneath.

Hina-arare are bite-sized sweet rice crackers that also come in pink, white and green.

May 5 is a public holiday called Children's Day.

It was formerly a day to pray for the healthy growth and happiness of young boys.

International Women’s Day is a global holiday celebrating women’s achievements and raising awareness of women’s equality.

Sweet 16 is a party celebrating a girl turning 16 in the U.S., while Quinceañera, rooted in Latin culture, marks a girl's 15th birthday with church ceremonies and festive dancing.

Debut is a glamorous 18th birthday celebration for women in the Philippines, featuring candle ceremonies and symbolic dances.

Korean coming-of-age ceremonies involve wearing traditional Hanbok, bowing, and drinking tea to symbolize adulthood.

In Judaism, 13 year-old boys and 12 year-old girls celebrate becoming responsible adults through readings from the Torah and a family party.

In China, the Confucian coming-of-age ceremony for boys, Guan Li, involves twisting their hair and capping it with a ceremonial Guan. Girls have a similar ceremony at the age of 15, Ji Li, named after the Ji, a traditional hairpin.

In the Amish community, Rumspringa is a coming-of-age period where young people, starting around age 16, explore life outside their strict traditions.

The Inuit, an Indigenous Arctic people, teach youth survival skills like hunting and navigation on North Baffin Island.

The Maasai of Kenya and Tanzania have a coming-of-age tradition where boys aged 10-20 become warriors.

The Sateré-Mawé people in Brazil have a coming-of-age ritual where young men wear gloves filled with bullet ants.

The Hindu Chudakarana ritual, performed on babies, is a symbolic coming-of-age ceremony.

Seijin-shiki is held every January to celebrate those who have turned 20.

Thanksgiving dinner

Groundhog

Groundhog Dayの歴史

New Year's resolution(s)

My New Year's resolution is to exercise more and get in shape.

Improve or change one's career｜

Merry Christmas
