楽器が弾けるようになりたいと思っていてピアノはポピュラーで教室が多いからって英語でなんて言うの?

初めて受ける講師との自己紹介の時「ピアノを習い始めました」と言うと、「どうしてピアノを選んだの」と聞かれる事が多いのですが質問に書いた様に言いたいのですが上手く言えません

  • It has always been my dream to play a musical instrument and besides, piano teachers are two a penny.

  • Piano was my instrument of choice because I've always wanted to play a musical instrument and besides, piano teachers can be found on every corner.

1. It has always been my dream to play a musical instrument and besides, piano teachers are two a penny. If something has always been your dream then it's a wish that you had or would like fulfilled. The phrase, "two a penny" means that it is something that is very common and not difficult to source. Example sentence: Tall, thin models are two a penny in Hollywood. 2. Piano was my instrument of choice because I've always wanted to play a musical instrument and besides, piano teachers can be found on every corner. The phrase, "instrument of choice" means that this is what you selected/chose/opted for. The phrase, ''can be found on every corner" means all over or everywhere. Example sentence: A beggar can be found on every corner in Bengal.

All of these phrases convey your key information: you play the piano, it's a popular instrument, and a lot of places offer piano lessons. The third phrase is probably the most simple.

  • I've always been determined to play a musical instrument, and since piano teachers are a dime a dozen, I chose to play the piano.

A good expression to use that suggests that one has a strong desire to do something is "determined." This would be said if the goal is a high priority. "A dime a dozen" is an idiom that means that there is a large amount of something, though it could possibly be taken as a way to express that the value of something is low, so it is important to be cautious when using this idiom to avoid causing offense to anyone.
