High school life is completely different from what we experienced as adults in our own high school years. It's a time of intense youthfulness, but unfortunately, due to the pandemic, they were advised against doing many things.
とすると、『高校生活は私たち大人が高校時代に経験したものとは全く違います。何にでも熱心に取り組むときなのですが、残念ながらコロナにより、たくさんのことがダメだと言われて。』というような表現ができます。

"Youth is very complicated."
"youth " 「青春」"adolescence" も言えます。
"very" 「すごく」
"complicated" 「密」・「複雑」
"High school life is completely different to the high school life that we adults had. Adolescence is very complicated. But I was told all those things were no good."
「高校生活っていうのは、僕たち大人が過ごしてきた高校生活とは全く違うんです。青春って、すごく密なので。でもそういうことは全部ダメだ、ダメだと言われて。」
