例：

He's a good person, it's just that we don't get along very well.
彼はいい人です、ただ私とは気が合わないんです。
just で「[ただ](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/125808/)」といったニュアンスを出すことができます。
it's just that で「ただ〜というだけ」という意味です。

hit it off with someone ＝ get along well with someone：... とソリが合う、気が合う
他に click with someone も get along with someone の類義表現として覚えておくといいかなと思います。
例）I don't really click with her.（彼女とはあまりいい関係ではない。）
