  • Sometimes I'm in the mood to, sometimes I'm not.

  • I have good days and bad days.

  • I have my ups and downs

When you want to explain that sometimes you are motivated and sometimes you are not, you can say the following phrases: Sometimes I'm in the mood to, sometimes I'm not. 'In the mood' to do something means that you are motivated or enthusiastic about doing something. If you are 'not in the mood' it means you are not feeling up to the task. You don't want to do it. I have good days and bad days. A good day is when you are willing to do something and feel motivated but a bad day is when you don't feel like doing anything at all. I have my ups and downs Feeling 'up' is feeling motivated while feeling 'down' is feeling upset and/or unmotivated. I hope that helps!
Sometimes I'm in the mood to, sometimes I'm not. in the mood to 〜(動詞の原形)で「〜をするのにやる気がある」という意味です。 'not in the mood' と言うなら、それはそのタスクに対して気が向かないということを意味します。 I have good days and bad days. a good day とはなにかすることに対してやる気があるときですが、a bad day はなにもやる気にならないときのことです。 I have my ups and downs.

  • I do not always have the motivation to do things.

  • I do not always have the motivation.

"I do not always have the motivation to do things." This explains that you only sometimes have the motivation for things. "I do not always have the motivation." Means sometimes you have motivation but other times you do not.
I do not always have the motivation to do things. I do not always have the motivation.

  • My motivation comes in waves.

  • I have good days and bad days.

Here are two ways that we can express our motivation levels with the most common expression being about how the motivation, "comes in waves," in a way to say that in falls and rises similar to how waves in the ocean move. We can also say that you have, "good and bad days," in regards to your motivation.

  • My motivation is unstable.

  • Some days I am motivated, on other days I am not.

This means you are not always motivated everyday. The word other means not the same one or ones already mentioned. For example: Some days I am unhappy on other day I am not.
"こちらは、いつもやる気があるわけではないという意味です。 Otherとは、すでに述べているものとは同じではないという意味です。 例えば: some days I am unhappy on other I am not. ある日はアンハッピーだけど、いつもそうではない。"

  • "I have good days and bad days with my motivation"

  • "My motivation can be really up and down, it is not always the same"

If you wanted to explain that sometimes you are highly motivated and other times you are not, you could say either of the following to express this: "I have good days and bad days with my motivation" or "My motivation can be really up and down, it is not always the same".

  • I often vacillate between feelings of high motivation and feelings of laziness and indifference.

  • One day I feel highly motivated and the next I seem to experience a slump.

1. I often vacillate between feelings of high motivation and feelings of laziness and indifference. To vacillate means to waver between two different actions or opinions. Indifference means having no interest. Example: I am vacillating between dentistry and optometry. 2. One day I feel highly motivated and the next I seem to experience a slump. To be highly motivated means having a strong desire to succeed at a project or a task. When you experience a slump then it means that you are apathetic or tired and don't really care one way or the other. The next day you go back to tackling the task at hand until tiredness or irritation overcomes you again. Apathetic means being disinterested.
