  • I shouldn't have worn this outfit in this weather.

訳は、「こんな天気の日にこんなコーデするんじゃなかったな。」となります。 "Outfit"は、日本語の「コーデ」の意味になります。 参考になれば幸いです。

  • I wore the wrong clothes. It's not that cold after all!

  • I put on too many layers and now I'm sweating!

1) I wore the wrong clothes. It's not that cold after all! 「服装間違えた。やっぱりそんなに寒くなかったよ!」 「服装を間違えた」は wore the wrong clothes と言えます。 2) I put on too many layers and now I'm sweating! 「着込みすぎて汗かいてるもん!」 put on too many layers で「着込みすぎた」 I'm sweating で「汗をかく」 ご参考になれば幸いです!

  • I picked the wrong outfit for the weather today.

An "outfit" is the clothes that you are wearing at a particular moment. You can use the verb "choose" instead of "pick." I hope that this helps! :)

  • I didn't expect it to be so warm. I wore the wrong thing.

  • I thought it would be colder so I ended up sweating in what I was wearing.

"I didn't expect it to be so warm. I wore the wrong thing." This is straightforward. You explain it was warm and that you didn't think it would be for this time of year. So you state you wore the wrong thing. "I thought it would be colder so I ended up sweating in what I was wearing." If the weather was hot and you, in turn, were hot in your outfit you can say this. You ended up sweating means, in the end, you were so warm you sweated.
”I didn't expect it to be so warm"(こんなに暖かくなると思わなかった)”I wore the wrong thing"(着るもの間違えた)と、冬なのに暖かい日になったことを表します。 ”I thought it would be colder, so I ended up sweating in what I was wearing"(もっと寒くなると思ったから、汗かいちゃったよ)と、冬物を着ていた為、暑くて’汗をかいてしまった、という意味です。

  • I dressed wrong for the weather.

  • I'm not dressed for this weather.

These are simple and standard phrases for saying that we wore clothes that made us feel uncomfortable, considering the temperature outside. To 'dress' means to 'put on clothes.'

  • My clothing was unsuitable for the weather.

  • I felt out of place because I wore the wrong type of clothing for the weather.

The two sentences you see provided above are great ways to express to your listener that you did not wear the right kind of clothing for the weather. In the first sentence you will see the word unsuitable and in the second sentence you will see the term out of place. These both mean not appropriate. The word unsuitable is appropriate for formal settings while the term out of place is appropriate for informal settings.
上記二つの例文は、着ていった服が天気に合っていなかったと伝える素晴らしい言い方です。 最初の例文には"unsuitable"、二つ目の例文には"out of place"という表現があります。これらはどちらも「適切でない」という意味です。 "unsuitable"はフォーマルな場面に、"out of place"はインフォーマルな場面にそれぞれ適しています。

When you want to explain that you wore the wrong kind of clothes because you thought it was cold; then you can say this in the following ways: -I wore the wrong kind of clothing for this hot weather because I thought it was hot. -I wore the wrong clothes for this weather -I wore warm clothes thinking it would be cold and now I'm sweating
「寒いと思ったので服装を間違えてしまった」は次のように言えます。 -I wore the wrong kind of clothing for this hot weather because I thought it was hot. (こんなに暑いと思わなかったので服装を間違えてしまいました) -I wore the wrong clothes for this weather(天気に合わない服を着てきてしまいました) -I wore warm clothes thinking it would be cold and now I'm sweating(寒いと思って厚着をしてきてしまいました。汗をかいています)
