I wonder --- は〜だろう・・・と言いたい時などによく使われます。
時期を知りたいので２つ目の I の後は過去形で大丈夫です。

会話上の脈略では I wonder when.... でも独り言っぽくなります。
Let me recollect my memories. は、「ちょっと思い出させて・・・」という感じの独り言です。
A: When was the last time you saw your uncle?
B: Hm... I wonder when... /Let me recollect my memories...
ちなみに、I wonder は非常によく使われます。
気になる、というニュアンスも含まれます。
I wonder if we can go home on time...（今日オンタイムで帰れるかな・・・）
I was wondering if you could help me.（手伝ってもらえるかな？）
A: Do you think we can go home on time today?（今日オンタイムで帰れると思う？）
