「行列」は英語でいうと、line (アメリカ式英語)や queue (イギリス式英語)です。しかし、
例:There’s a line outside the shop. / お店の外で行列ができてる。
は、「この店が人気だ」と、まだ意味していないです。
「今日の開店時間、ずらしてる?」、「何かあって入りきれないの?」とか、”There’s a line outside the shop” ははっきりしていない言い方に当たります。
例:There’s a line outside the shop. It must be popular! / お店の外で行列ができてるんですね、人気なんだろうね。
だったら、自然です。「人気」を言った方が、理由が判明されて、英表現が自然になります。
