凍って水道管が壊れるって英語でなんて言うの？

北海道在住です。
「留守の間は水道の元栓を止めないと、水道管が凍って壊れてしまう」
という時は、どのように表現したらよろしいでしょうか？

One of the pipes in my house froze because of the cold
「家のパイプが寒さで凍る」
のように言えるかと思います。

例：
You have to turn off the main water supply at your house when you are going to be away for any length of time in the winter, otherwise your pipes could freeze because of the cold.
「冬にしばらく家を留守にするときは、水道の元栓を閉めなければいけない。そうじゃないと寒さでパイプが凍ってしまう。」

turn off the main water supply で「水道の元栓を閉める」
for any length of time で「長期にわたって」

もし水道管が破裂すると言う時には burst「破裂する・張り裂ける」を使っても言えます。
