飲食店では、「ご飯はおかわり自由ですか」と聞きたい時には英語で「Does this have free refills?」になります。ご飯と言えば、「ライス」という意味でしたら「Are there free refills for the rice?」と聞けば良い。「Does this have free refills?」と聞いたら、食事や飲み物、何にもについて使えばふさわしいです。「Free refills」というのは「おかわり自由」という意味です。
大盛り可能かどうか聞きたいならこのようは自然です。

「おかわり自由」は確かにFree refillですが「食べ放題」というニュアンスを加えると
「All you can eat rice」なんていかがでしょうか。
ちなみにお酒の「飲み放題」は「All you can drink」ですが実は個人的にはアメリカで見たことがありませんでした。
日本ではいたるところに「飲み放題」がありますが日本ならではのサービスのようなきがします。
※ファストフード店ではソーダなどを買うと何度もおかわり自由の「飲み放題」形式のことは多いです。

Asking if you may have a larger portion of rice will mean that your serving will be up-sized.

"May I have a larger portion of rice?" は、ご飯の量を増やせるのかを尋ねます。

This sentence is clear and appropriate.

*eat as much as you can=限りない。好きなだけ食べることができます。

Anything "Supersized" means larger than average or standard sizes; in other words extremely large like an extra extra large pizza.
Its the perfect word to use when you want something bigger than normal.
Normally people think about free-flowing alcohol which means alcohol in huge quantities. However, here we are using free-flowing as an adjective to mean moving in a continuous, steady stream like a steady easy flow of traffic or a flow of questions and answers in a debate. So it means is rice continually being brought to the table.

If something is unlimited it means you can have as much of it as you want. Usually free of charge. If you see 'Unlimited salad' on a menu then it means you can have as much salad as you wish to eat.
Asking 'Can we have an extra large portion of ***?' is asking for a very big portion. We usually do this if we are going to share. Or if you are very very hungry! :)
