  • For P.E. In Japan they allow students to take part in swimming classes

  • The Japanese school system is unique for allowing swimming classes in the summer

"For P.E. In Japan they allow students to take part in swimming classes" 'P.E.' is the abbreviation of the class in school, Physical education. When using 'Allow' this implies permission was needed in order to do something, in this case, take swimming classes. "The Japanese school system is unique for allowing swimming classes in the summer" 'Unique' is an expression that implements that there aren't many things/places like it, this differentiates P.E. between Japan and other countries.
"For P.E. In Japan they allow students to take part in swimming classes"(日本の体育には水泳の授業があります) 'P.E.' は 'Physical education'(体育)の略です。 'Allow' は、「あること」をするのに許可が必要だったことを表します。ここでは「あること」は「水泳の授業を受けること」です。 "The Japanese school system is unique for allowing swimming classes in the summer"(日本の教育で特徴的なのは、夏に水泳の授業があることです) 'Unique' は同じような場所やものが少ないことを表します。ここでは、日本とそれ以外の国の体育の違いを表しています。

  • It's a unique aspect of Japanese education that all students have to participate in swimming classes during the summer

  • Swimming is compulsory in Japanese schools during the summer

When talking about education in Japan, you want to say that a unique feature of Japanese schools is that they have swimming classes in the summer (for PE). Everyone participates as it's part of school. You use one of the above suggested statements.
「日本の教育で特徴的なのは夏に(体育で)水泳の授業があることだと言いたい」ということですね。「これは授業なので全員が参加する」わけですね。 上記の例のどちらかを使ってみてください。

  • In Japanese schools, the students participate in swimming classes for PE during the summer.

  • PE swimming lessons are held during the summer in Japan.

  • During summer in Japan, it is compulsory for students to participate in swimming lessons for PE.

"In Japanese schools, the students participate in swimming classes for PE during the summer."- This statement is specific to Japanese schools. It also specifies that it is only during summer time. "PE swimming lessons are held during the summer in Japan."- This statement explains that for PE, swimming lessons are held for Japanese students during the summer. This places more emphasis on the sport rather than it being a unique feature for Japan. "During the summer in Japan, it is compulsory for students to participate in swimming lessons for PE." This gives a statement that the students do not have a choice in whether they want to swim or not. They have to as it is for Physical education.
"In Japanese schools, the students participate in swimming classes for PE during the summer."(日本の学校では夏に体育で水泳の授業があります) →この文は、日本の学校について言っています。また、それが夏に限ったことであることも明確にしています。 "PE swimming lessons are held during the summer in Japan."(日本では夏に体育で水泳の授業があります) →「日本では夏に体育で水泳の授業がある」と伝えています。これは、それが日本の特徴であるということよりも水泳自体に重きがあります。 "During the summer in Japan, it is compulsory for students to participate in swimming lessons for PE."(日本では夏に生徒は体育で水泳の授業を受けなければなりません) →これは、水泳の授業を「受けなければならない」と伝えています。体育の授業なので、受けなければならない、ということです。

  • In Japanese schools, swimming is a compulsory physical education (PE) sport in summer.

  • In Japan, every student is compelled to take swimming classes as part of physical education in summer.

  • The Japanese school system compels every student to take swimming classes as part of their physical education in summer.

If in the Japanese school system, every student is required to take swimming classes as part of their physical education, then it is compulsory to do so. The adjective 'compulsory' used in the first statement means 'required by law or rule. It means that it is 'mandatory', every student has to take swimming classes. In other words, every student is compelled to take swimming classes in summer whether he/she likes it or not. The verb to 'compel' used in both the second and third statements means to 'force' someone to do something, in this case, to take swmming classes in summer. So, you may say: In Japanese schools, swimming is a compulsory physical education (PE) sport in summer. or In Japan, every student is compelled to take swimming classes as part of physical education in summer. or The Japanese school system compels every student to take swimming classes as part of their physical education in summer.
In Japanese schools, swimming is a compulsory physical education (PE) sport in summer. (日本の学校では、夏に生徒は体育で水泳の授業を受けなければなりません) In Japan, every student is compelled to take swimming classes as part of physical education in summer. (日本の学校では、夏に生徒は体育で水泳の授業を受けなければなりません) The Japanese school system compels every student to take swimming classes as part of their physical education in summer. (日本の学校では、夏に生徒は体育で水泳の授業を受けなければなりません)

(日本の教育で特徴的なのは、全員参加の水泳の授業があることです) "Japanese schools incorporate the unique requirement of including swimming lessons in summer PE classes." (日本の学校で特徴的なのは、夏に体育で水泳の授業があることです) この文は、水泳の授業が義務で、日本の一般教育に含まれていることを示します。 "The Japanese school system uniquely incorporates swimming lessons into summer PE classes."
