Native English speakers refer to places to eat and drink as restaurants. For example, someone might ask "Do you want to go eat at that Italian restaurant tonight?" if they were talking about a specific restaurant without saying it's actual name by saying "that Italian restaurant".
There are many different types of restaurants, for example if the place you are eating or drinking serves coffee and is usually a smaller in size than a restaurant, we might call it a cafe. Or if the place your eating has multiple locations serving the same food we can call it a chain restaurant. "chain" means there's many of one restaurant, just like links in a chain. McDonald's is an example of a chain restaurant.
However it is more common for a Native English speaker to ask "do you want to go out to eat tonight?" because "going out to eat" means eating some place that is not your house without talking about a specific restaurant to eat at.
