conceive ... で「…を身ごもる」とも言えます。

「身ごもる」は英語でbecome pregnantと言います。get pregnantとも言えますが、「身ごもる」が「妊娠する」のもう少しかしこまった言い方であるように、become pregnantはget pregnantよりかしこまった言い方です。
