枝豆は最近では sushi、tempura、udon レベルで英語でもそのまま使われるようになってきました。アメリカのレストランで日本の枝豆は edamame と表記されていることが多いです。こういう風に日本語がそのまま英語になっていくのはなんだか嬉しいですね。
ちなみにアメリカで枝豆を[頼む](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/34407/)と、もちろん普通のもあるんですが、ガーリック枝豆っていうのが人気です。すごく[味が濃い](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/1011/)です。

Soybeans are usually green and also referred to as Edamame beans. We eat them in japanese food here in the UK. We also call them edamame beans. But to describe them in English you would say Green soybeans.

When ordering edamame in a Japanese restaurant in a foreign country we could ask for fresh soy beans, young soy beans or soy beans in a pod. Although most Japanese restaurants know they're called edamame, may foreign people don't.
海外の日本食レストランで枝豆を注文する時は、"fresh soy beans"、"young soy beans" または "soy beans in a pod" と言えます。
日本食レストランは大抵 "edamame" を知っていますが、外国人は知らないことが多いです。
Alot of words from different countries relating to food are well known now like 'julienne' 'duck a l'orange etc
so you can simply say 'edamame' and most people would know what you mean if you want to make sure they understand then you would say 'salted soy beans'
