民意って英語でなんて言うの？

「民意」はつまり「民の意志」を指していますが、一つの政府が治める「民」は英語でthe peopleと言います。そして「意志」は英語でwillと言います。よって、「民意」はそのまま英語でthe will of the peopleと言えます。 If the people cannot select their own government, how can the government make decisions that reflect the will of the people? 民が政府を選べないなら、政府はどうやって民意を反映する選択ができるっていうの？ また、「民の意志」はつまり「民が欲しいと思っていること」を意味しますので、英語でwhat the people wantとも言えます。 This government clearly does not understand what the people want. この政府は明らかに民意を理解していない。
