These are all synonyms for people that are born in a specific country, even if you do not live there anymore, you will will always be a native of that country.
"My native country is Maori, New Zealand."
"I would like to meet some indigenous people, while I am visiting, New Zealand."
"New Zealand has a very nice marketplace, operated by locals."
"My native country is Maori, New Zealand."(私の母国はニュージーランドのマオリです)
"I would like to meet some indigenous people, while I am visiting, New Zealand."(ニュージーランドに行くときには原住民に会いたい)
"New Zealand has a very nice marketplace, operated by locals."(ニュージーランドには地元の人々が運営する素晴らしい市場があります)
Both of those words can be used to describe something that is originally from somewhere.
"Natives" is normally what you would use for people. For example: "John is native to Switzerland".
"Indigenous" means something that naturally occurs somewhere and would usually be used to refer to other natural things like plants, animals or insects. For example: The Lion is indigenous to Africa.
I hope this helps.
John is native to Switzerland.
The Lion is indigenous to Africa.
In the USA, the Native American Indians lived on the land before anybody else. There was a movie in the 1990s about this called "Pocahontas" and I think this movie teaches us a lesson about the Native Americans who lived in peace until the non-natives arrived and took over the land.
"The natives lived in peace for many years until the several wars broke out in the United States"
The "Indigenous people" are the same people who lived in the United States, but also in other countries, this term is used. In Australia, for example, they have aboriginals. In Peru, they have Quechuas, in Northern Canada they have Inuits.
"The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand."
"The natives lived in peace for many years until the several wars broke out in the United States"
"The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand."
All three of these sentences have the same outcome in meaning, we would consider the first two as the exact definition of someone who lived in a particular location before colonization. A native however, can also refer to someone who was born and raised within a particular country.
