昼下がりって英語でなんて言うの？

nobuさん、こんばんは。 "early afternoon"　が一番相当する英語になると思います。 "at noon", "around noon"なども使えますが、なんとなく「お昼１２時」という意味合いが強いので、12時から２時か３時の間ぐらいなら"early afternoon"が一番分かりやすいです。 3時と4時ぐらいなら"mid afternoon"という表現もあります。後、5時や6時までなら　"late afternoon"ですね。 ご参考になれば幸いです。

「昼下がり」が英語で「early in the afternoon」か「in the early afternoon」と言います。 以下は例文です。 晴れた日の昼下がりは昼寝がしたくなる　ー　On sunny days, I love to take a nap in the early afternoon 私はすぐに上京し、時刻は昼下がりであったが、叔父と会った。　ー　I came up to Tokyo at once it was early in the afternoon and saw my uncle. 昼下がりの紅茶とサンドウィッチまたはケーキの軽い食事　ー　A light early afternoon meal of tea and sandwiches or cakes 参考になれば嬉しいです。
