緯度、経度って英語でなんて言うの？

緯度と経度は何ですか？

それぞれ「①　緯度Latitude, 　経度longitude」と言います。

ジュリアン

「緯度」は英語でlatitudeと言って、「経度」は英語でlongitudeと言います。latitudeは東から西に走っている線です。longitudeは北から南に走っていつ線です。しかし、「東経135度、北緯40度」は英語で135°east longitude、40° north latitudeになります。

例：
Japan and Australia are at the same longitude.
日本とオーストラリアはだいたい同じ経度に属しています。

The weather in Minnesota is similar to Hokkaido because they are about the same latitude.
ミネソタと北海道はほぼ同じ緯度に属しているから、天気もほとんど似ています。

The coordinates were at 135°east longitude, 40° north latitude.
座標は東経135度、北緯40度でした。
