直腸って英語でなんて言うの？

The rectum（ 直腸は） is the end of the large intestine（ 大腸の最後の部分） and the beginning of the anus（ 肛門まで 続く）. 調べてみましたら rectum が出ました。rectum は anus と同じようなニュアンスですが、anus はどちらかと言えば「肛門」です。rectum はどちらかと言えばその内部の方だと思います。例えば、「肛門癌」は英語で rectal cancer と言います。 ご参考になれば幸いです。
