英語で「やむを得ず～する」は「Be forced to～」、「Be necessary to～」、「Have to～」等の表現で訳せます。この三つの中で、「Have to～」は最もカジュアルなニャンスで、「Be forced to～」は最も強いニュアンスになります。「Be necessary to～」は最も中和的な表現です。
例：
