要旨って英語でなんて言うの？

日本語の「要旨」が英語で「The main points」か「summary」か「outline」と言います。「The gist」という表現もありますが、それは本当にカジュアルな表現です。使い方が以下のようです。 以下は例文です： 彼の話の要旨を述べる　ー　To give the main points (the gist) of what he said. 論文の要旨をまとめる　ー　Summarise the main points of a paper. 打ち合わせの要旨をまとめましたのでご一読下さい ー　I have gathered the important points of the meeting.
