肝いりって英語でなんて言うの？

自然なのが "The new business was launched under the CEO’s initiative." です。initiative は「主導・発案」という意味で、「肝いり」のニュアンスにかなり近い表現です。 次に "The new project was personally backed by the CEO." は「社長が個人的に支援している」というニュアンスで、「肝いり＝後押ししている」という意味合いを表せます。 また "The new business was driven by the CEO." は「社長主導で進められた」という意味で、より強いリーダーシップを表現できます。
