・"all of their time"はちょっと大げさで、"all of their free time"の「すべての暇な時」を意味します。

・アメリカ英語では"university students"と言えば、短期大学生を含まないので、"college students"を勧めます。

・"just messing around"は「ふざけているだけ」を意味します。"just fooling around"・"just screwing around"も言えます。これは一番カジュアル・スラングな言い方です。
