つきあいでって英語でなんて言うの?

先輩の付き合いで、仕方なく飲みに行く。 「付き合いで」、「仕方なく」両方とも、英語でなんていうの?

「付き合いで」はなかなか英語で表現するのが難しいですが、 その時の感情を考えて表現すると良いです。 「付き合いで」⇒「より良い人間関係のために」と 考えてfor a better relationship、 「付き合いで」⇒「義務感で」と 考えてfor a sense of dutyと表現してみました。 「仕方なく」は他に選択肢がなくと考えて have no choice but to 「~するより仕方ない」 を使うと上手く表せます。 I have toをI've got toと言うとさらにカジュアルな 表現になります。 参考になれば幸いです。

I gotta tag along with my "senpai" for a few drinks...一番難しいのは先輩だね。先輩という世界観がそんなにない、アメリカでね。学校だと言わない。仕事だと、bossとかいうけど、本当に名前で呼ぶって感じ。I gotta tag along with Mike for a few drinks. それで、tag alongは付き合いで。仕方なくはgottaにある。しなきゃって感じ。頑張ってね〜
