「遺体」
★ 解説
body は「遺体、死体」という意味で、刑事物の海外ドラマや映画などでしょっちゅう聞きます。
これは文脈による部分もあるので、body が必ずしも「遺体」を表す訳ではありませんが、「生きている人」に対する反意語のように使われます。
例）They found somebody in the warehouse.
「彼らは倉庫で誰かを見つけた」
They found a body in the warehouse.
「彼らは倉庫で死体を見つけた」
ドラマなどでもはっきりを区別して使われています。

他にはシンプルに body と表現することもあります。
"A corpse. "=This would be a dead body, mainly referring to a human body rather than an animal.
Can be seen being used in police investigations.
"A cadaver."=This is mainly referred to a dead body that is stored in medical schools or hospitals where medical student practice on it for their studies.
"A corpse. "＝これは動物よりかは人間の死体のことです。
警察が捜査する場面で使われます。
"A cadaver.”は医科大学や病院などで研究するために保管させてる死体のことです。
Stiff = a dead person
Dear/dearly departed = is a dead person, as referred to at a funeral.
A person you love who has died.
The deceased = the single person, or number of people who have died.
"After the plane crash, family members of the deceased attended a service at the disaster site."
"We will hold a church service for the dearly departed next Wednesday at 10am."
Stiff = 死人。
Dear/dearly departed =これも死人ですが、死別した最愛の人など、特に葬儀の時に言います。
The deceased = 死亡。一名、または複数にもなる。

飛行機事故の後、遺族は事故現場へ葬儀に向かった。
"We will hold a church service for the dearly departed next Wednesday at 10am."
来週水曜日の朝10時に葬儀がある。
corpseは死体のかなり直接的な表現です。言うなればヒトの死骸といったところでしょうか。
bodyの方が通常の会話では適切だと思います。
またcadaverはcadaver donation＝献体のように、医学的な「死体」の意味合いになります。なお、仮に献体をbodyを使って言うとするとleave ～’s body to medicineです。

遺体が博物館にあり、保存されていた。

ある文化では、遺体を水と油で洗うのが一般的だ。
We can express that we see a dead person or about the idea with the words, "dead body," or we can use the term, "corpse," which also refers to a body that is no longer living.
Example :
Seeing a dead body makes me sad.
It's always so strange when you see a corpse.
