他のアンカーの方がhang outの例を挙げてらっしゃるので、それ以外の答え方を考えてみました。 上の文脈であれば、meetだけでもその場は切り抜けられると思います。 hang outを知っていればもちろん一番良いのですが、知らない場合は、自分の知っている単語でシンプルに表現してみることがコミュニケーションにはすごく大事ですね(^^)/

Mate' and 'pal' are another way of saying 'friend' in the UK. It is very common slang in the UK. 'Hang out' and 'chill out' or 'hanging out with' or 'chilling out with' are common slang terms for meeting up and relaxing with friends. It is especially common slang amongst those under the age of 40. If you prefer to sound more mature you can just say 'meeting up', as this is popularly said by all ages.
Mate' と 'pal' は'friend'(友達)のことをいう別の言い方でイギリス英語です。 イギリスではよく使うスラングです。 'Hang out' 、 'chill out' 、 'hanging out with' 、 'chilling out with' は友達と会い、リラックスすることを表す一般的なスラングです。40歳以下の年齢の間でよく使われるスラングです。大人っぽく言いたい場合には 'meeting up'と言う事ができます。これはすべての年代で使われます。

Kick back is a term used for relaxing and or spending time with friends. So you are going to spend some time relaxing with your buddies, another word used for friends. Get together means you have made friends to hand with whoever it may be. In this case friends.
Kick back とは友達と一緒に時間を過ごしたりゆっくりしたりすることを指しています。 spend some time relaxing with your buddies も友達と過ごすと伝える別の言い方です。
