「登頂する」は summit や scale を使って言うこともできますよ。
I have summited Mt. Everest three times.
「エベレストに３回登頂したことがある。」
summit は「登頂する・(山の頂上に）到着する」という意味があります。
Not many people have ever scaled Mt. Everest.
「エベレストに登頂した人はあまりいない。」
scale は「（山を）登り切る」という意味があります。
