シャコって英語でなんて言うの？

エビに似ているのですが、自分はシャコの方が美味しいと思います. It looks like shrimp, but I think mantis shrimp tastes better. エビ＝shrimp シャコ＝mantis shrimp

もしある食べ物は主に自分の国で使われているなら、他の言語で言っても、外国人の相手はその食べ物についてまだわからない場合があります。シャコ はもしかしてそういう食べ物です。シャコの味や食感について説明したほうがいいです。 A: I like mantis shrimp more than prawns. (エビよりシャコが好き。) B: What's mantis shrimp? (シャコって何ですか。) A: It's a kind of shrimp that... tastes.../is.../looks...(形容詞を入れてください。) ...とういう味・見た目があるエビのようなものです。

シャコは mantis shrimp, mantis crab などと言います。 Mantis shrimp look like shrimp, but I think they taste better than real shrimp. シャコはエビに似ていますが、シャコの方が美味しいと思います。 When I went to a Japanese sushi restaurant in New York, they served really fresh mantis shrimp. ニューヨークで寿司屋に行った時、とても新鮮なシャコを出してく入れました。

これを調べましたら、stomatopods　という言葉が出てきましたが、これは飽くまで科学的な名前だとおもいます。普通は mantis shrimp と言うようです。私はアレルギーがあるので貝の全般が食べれないですが（I have a shellfish allergy, so I cannot eat them at all)けれど、「自分はシャコの方が美味しいと思います」を言いたいなら I like mantis shrimp better than regular shrimp と言えます。 ご参考になれば幸いです。
