を使って言えます。
「真相を突き止める」なら
find out the truth
discover the truth
のようにいえます。
例：
I found out the truth about how my real parents died when I was 10.
「私が１０歳の時、本当の両親がどうやって亡くなったかの真相を突き止めた。」
I discovered the whole story behind my friend's success in business.
「友人のビジネスでの成功の真相を突き止めた。」
discover the whole story でも「真相を突き止める」といえます。

私は学校の裏にある真実を突き止めた。
find out は「探し当てる」「見出す」という意味で、隠されているものを探して見つけ出すという意味ではこちらの表現がよく使われると思います。
reveal the truth という言葉もよく見られますが、こちらは誰かが見つけるというより、真相が明らかになる意味で使われます。

1.) to determine (突き止める) 「突き止める」は英語でいろいろな訳出がありますが、一般的に英語でto determineと訳せます。To determineは英語で真相と自然に使えます。

pin down=「釘付けにする・（真実などを）突き止める」
discover＝「発見する」
例文）
We have finally pinned down the truth.
