利息って英語でなんて言うの？

「利息」は英語で interest と言います。

例：
Interest rates on mortgages seem to be on the rise again.
「住宅ローンの金利はまた上昇しているようだ。」
interest rate で「金利」
mortgage で「住宅ローン」
on the rise で「上昇して」

Jack lends money to anybody that wants to borrow from him but he charges 18% interest.
「ジャックは借りたい人誰にでもお金を貸すけど、１８％の利子を請求するよ。」
lend money で「お金を貸す」
charge で「請求する」
