例えば、「この写真はどこの何なのかさっぱりわかりません」という文章の「どこの何なのか」は何と言いますか？

また、別の言い方で「I have no idea where it came from and what it is. 」でも言えます。

例文も英訳したいなら、そうすると「I have no idea where this picture came from and what it is」という風に言えます。

この場合、次のように言うと良いと思います。

ーI have no idea where this picture was taken or what it is.
「この写真がどこで撮られたのか、何なのかさっぱりわからない」
where this picture was taken or what it is のような言い方ができます。

ーI have no clue what this picture is all about.
「この写真が一体何なのかさっぱりわからない」　
what this picture is all about というような言い方もできます。
