こんにちは。
専用の施設があってそこでテニスを教えてもらう場合は tennis school や tennis club と言います。本格的なところだと（錦織選手が練習しているような）academy とも言ったりします。
僕はアメリカで市が運営するテニスレッスンを受けていました。これは特別な施設があるわけではなくて公共のテニスコートで認定のコーチが教えてくれる形でした。そのような場合はシンプルに tennis lessons で良いかと思います。
ちなみに、大学の「サークル活動」は society ももちろん正解ですし、「部活」との差別化が難しいところですが、club activities、tennis club のように言っても間違いではありません。
僕はアメリカの友人にサークルについて説明する場合は like a frat (fraternity) と言っています。fraternity はアメリカの大学にある「サークル活動」に似たような団体、活動のことです。frat の仲間で大きな家を丸々借りてそこでみんなで一緒に住んだりすることもあり、日本のサークル活動とは少し異なる部分もありますが、「〜のような」という意味の like を使ってなんとなく理解してもらってます。

Well, there are two types of tennis coaches:
ones who are employed and who are usually based at the facility where they are employed
- ie a tennis club or sports club; or ones who you may employ directly and who then rent tennis courts wherever they want in order to provide a venue for their lessons.

テニスのコーチには二つのタイプがいます。
施設に雇用されている人、例えばクラブやスポーツクラブで働いている人ですね。
またはあなたが直接雇うタイプです。
この場合その人がレッスンをするためにコートを予約してくれます。

When you are wanting to learn a sport (tennis) it is referred to as a 'tennis school or academy' it can also be called a 'tennis club'
Tennis lessons are what you would learn at the tennis school/academy
So you could say 'I'm taking tennis lessons at the local tennis academy/school'
