言い方は２つあります。天を昇っている太陽の「The Rising Sun」があります。
日本はアメリカで「The Land of the Rising Sun」と言われるのでこの言い方は響きがありと思います。
The Red Sunもあります。
欧米の常識によって、太陽の色は黄色です。日本で太陽が赤と認められるということがわかったらとてもびっくりしました。なので「Red」という特徴を強調する場合もあります。
通常、rising sunと言います。つまり、昇っている太陽という意味です。
旗の話をすると、flag of the rising sunと言えます。
