『放水開始』って英語でなんて言うの？

子どもが、消防車で遊ぶのが大好きなのですが、消防士さんが放水開始するときは英語で何ていうの？と聞かれました。教えてください。

Accepted Answer

The fireman is spraying the water (to put out the fire)
The fireman has started spraying the water (at the buildingなど）
The fireman is using the hose to spray water
The fireman is going to start spraying water.

「spray water」は「水をかける」という意味になります。

Answer

いけ！「水をぶっ放せ」ということで、
Go! 　いけ！　　が、まず浮かびました。
Goは「どこそこに行く」だけでなく、
その場から離れて行くというのが元のイメージの動詞です。

他に掛け声として、
Hit the fire!
「（水で）火に命中させろ」


ほかに、「（水を）噴き出せ」というのでは
Shoot ! と言うのもアリかと思います。
