草原って英語でなんて言うの？

都会にいると人が多すぎて、広い草原が恋しくなってきます。 There are too many people in the city that I'm starting to long for spacious fields of grass.

1.) meadow (草原)　「草原」は英語でmeadowと訳せます。Meadowは広いところに長い草が生えているというイメージがあります。そのところはすごく自然です。 例えば、 I caught rhinoceros beetles in the meadow with my dad. (お父さんと一緒に草原でカブト虫を掴みました。) There are too many people in the city. I miss wide open meadows with plenty of nature. (都会にいると人が多すぎて、広い草原のある自然豊かな土地が恋しくなってきます。)

「草原」という言葉を英語で表すと、「meadow」という言葉と「grassland」という言葉になります。複数形は「meadows」と「grasslands」です。例えば、「There is a large meadow near my house.」と「There is a large grassland near my house.」と言っても良いです。「Near my house」は「私の家に近い」という意味があります。

人の育ていたところによって「草原」のイメージが変わるかもしれないので色々な言葉はありますが、英語圏のイメージなら「plains」や「fields」が使われています。「plains」も「fields」は草のイメージが入っていると思います。 田舎の草原で歩くのが好きです。 I like walking across the plains in the countryside. 家のとなりの草原が広いです。 The field next to my house is wide.
