代理人って英語でなんて言うの？

上のような例なら、representativeを使ってもいいしrepresent（動詞）を使ってもいいです。

例
私は〇〇の代理をしています。
I represent 〇〇.

彼は〇〇の代理です。
He is a representative for 〇〇.

仕事が出来ないときに、誰かが代わりにやってくれるとき（例えばスポーツ選手や先生）ならsubstituteを使えます。substitute は名詞、形容詞、動詞としてでも使えます。

どういう場面かにもよりますが、agentと表現できます。
My agent is going to handle all my paperwork.（代理人が書類をすべて処理します）

カジュアルな会話では以下のようにも表現できます。
I asked someone to submit the documents for me.（書類を提出するのを誰かに依頼した＝書類の提出を代理人に頼んだ）

Attorney = 代理人
よく使われている言葉です。
Lawyer も使われます。弁護士という意味です。

例：
My lawyer told me I have zero chances to get anything after the divorce.
私の弁護士は離婚後に何か手に入れるチャンスがないと私に言った。

I hired the best attorney in the country so everything should be fine.
私は国で最高の代理人を雇ったので、大丈夫だと思います。

代理で何かをしてくれる人又は「代理人」のことは英語で「representative」といいます。

例文：
「私の代わりに代理人が書類を取りに行きます」
→「A representative will go pick up the documents instead of me」
「体調を崩したので自分で提出ができない、だから代理人にお願いした」
→「Since I am in poor health and can’t turn in the papers on my own, I will have a representative do it instead」
