開演って英語でなんて言うの？

渋滞が原因で開演に間に合わなかったとき、次の開演の時間を知りたかったのですが、「開演」ってなんて言ったらいいか分かりませんでした。

「次の開演の時間」は when will the next performance begin? で言えます。

the raising of the curtains は（カーテンを上がる）という直訳で、「開演」と同じ意味になります。
