即位って英語でなんて言うの？

即位は英語でenthronementと言います。throneは「王位」や「王座」という意味ですので、enthronementの文字通りの意味は「王座の上に座られる」となります。王位を自分の手に入れる、ということです。ちなみにascension to the throneとも言えますが、長いのでenthronementのほうが言いやすいです。
