英語で「不景気」は recessionです。もしくは、economic slumpを使います。
Recessionとeconomic slumpは経済に対して事です。
自分不景気がある時、"hard times"を使います。
たとえば、
My business is not making profit. These are hard times.
私の企業は利益を上げていません。不景気ですね。

Depression は recession よりもっと厳しい状況と言ってもいいかと思います。
The economists are arguing whether the next Great Depression is coming or not. - 経済専門家は次の世界恐慌が来るかどうか論争している。
Crisis, hard times などとも言えると思います。
