虹のパターンが好きな場合、Rainbow colorと言います。
colorが単数になっているのですが、虹の色を順番に並んだパターンという意味です。
（虹にある全ての）色が好きという意味の場合the colors of the rainbowと言います。
The colors of the rainbowの場合は色をそれぞれ個別にして、色がそれぞれ好きという意味です。
A: What's your favorite color?
B: I like rainbow color!
A: Rainbow isn't a color!
B: I like the pattern of the rainbow!

Explains that you that you like all seven colors of the rainbow.

This can mean all seven colors of the rainbow or it can mean a rainbow pattern.

このrainbow colorsは虹の7色全てか、虹の柄が好き、という意味になります。
Usually children like colorful things and the rainbow is very colorful. They maybe implying that they like all the colors on the rainbow which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet . Therefore this means that do not have one favorite color.
Well, it depends if you mean you like every colour of a rainbow individually, or if the general effect of all the colours together is pleasing. If you like all the colours together, you may speak about the 'combination' of colours.

rainbow は「虹」、color は「色」です。
rainbow color と言っても通じますのでご安心ください。
