Elephants are large mammals of the family Elephantidae.
Three species are currently recognized:
a. The African bush elephant
b. The African forest elephant
c. The Asian elephant

象はゾウ科で大きな哺乳類です。

Elephants are large mammals of the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea. Three species are currently recognized: the African bush elephant, the African forest elephant, and the Asian elephant.
African elephants have large ears, shaped much like the continent of Africa itself. The larger surface area of their ears helps to keep African elephants cool in the blazing African sun. Asian elephants have less to worry about heat-wise, as they tend to live in cool jungle areas, so their ears are smaller.

There are two different types of elephant- "African Elephant" and "Indian Elephant."
